Paris Travel Information
Paris is the capitol city of France and it is clearly among the world’s most popular honeymoon destination because of the variety of activities and places to visit it offers to honeymooners. It is located in the region or province of Île-de-France which is in the north of the country. Paris is crossed by the Seine River and has 20 boroughs or “arrondissements”. Around two and half millions of people live in this city, while ten millions are located in the suburbs. Paris has an oceanic climate, which means mild summers and cold winters.
There is no doubt that the most famous monument in Paris is the Eiffel Tower. Constructed in iron by the famous Gustave Eiffel, this beautiful and majestic monument is located in the Champs de Mars with the Seine River crossing it below. When lighted up at night, the Eiffel Tower has a strength that will draw even more together every couple there, so you must see it and falling in love with it will be easy.
Paris also has another famous monuments and buildings. Among them we must mention the Arc the Triomphe which with 51 meters high and a great construction becomes completely imposing. The Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Sacré Coeur are the places in which medieval tradition lays, while the famous and extremely rich Louvre museum and the modern Centre Georges Pompidou are ideal to enjoy art. Finally, you can not miss the Chateau de Versailles, in which French contemporary history began to be written. This place is so wonderful and elegant that you will love it, with its wonderful rooms and its majestic gardens.
