Greece is an European country, situated in the southeastern region of the continent. It shares borders with Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania and Turkey. Greece is almost completely surrounded by the sea: the Aegean Sea to its east and the Ionian Sea to the west, both of them being part of the Mediterranean. Greece consists of both a continental region in which Athens, the capitol city, is located, and a insular region with a huge number of different sized islands. Greece’s weather can be organized in three major regions: Mediterranean (hot and dry), the Alpine (with a cooler climate) and the Temperate one (cold winters and dry summers).
Greece has plenty of options for honeymooners to enjoy. In the first place, you will find awesome beaches and the huge amount of islands will give you the chance to know different spots. There is no doubt that among these islands, Santorini and Mikonos are the most popular ones in terms of tourism and their beauty is unique. Greece is also very famous because of its food and wine industry. There is no excuse for you to try the delicious ingredients with which Greek meals are prepared: olives, cheese, green vegetables and tomatoes, sea food, wine and baklava for dessert are definitely a must if you are in Greece.
Greece also has a very important nightlife since in the last decades it has seen its tourism expand at huge rates and therefore offers honeymooners a wide variety of discos, romantic bars, romantic restaurants, cinemas and shopping centers.
