When it comes to honeymoons, many places are ideal since they are really prepared to receive honeymooners and treat them with the best services. In the case of Latin America, we believe that there is one location that clearly stands out from the rest and there is no doubt that it is Brazil.
Brazil is located in South America and it is certainly the biggest and most populated one in all Latin America. Since Brazil is a federation, it is composed by twenty seven federate units among which Amazonas, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are the most important. With a tropical and rainy climate, Brazil is mainly inhabited in its southeast and south regions which are also the richest ones. Among Brazil’s most important and interesting cities we must mention Brasilia (the capitol city), Belem, Florianopolis, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buzios, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Manaus and Porto Alegre, many of them depending almost entirely on tourism.
When it comes to enjoying a honeymoon in Brazil, you should know that Brazilian culture is really joyous and happy all year long and all across the territory. The carnival (which usually happens between February and March) is the most famous and the most impressive carnival in the world and it is really worth seeing it. Brazilians have always been described as fun loving people and we believe that their beautiful scenarios and landscapes contribute much to this happiness.
Brazil has a much extended coast line and therefore you will find lots of beautiful beaches to enjoy in your honeymoon in different Brazilian cities and towns. Rio de Janeiro is one of the most famous and visited, with its Christ Redeemer as mainly attraction. In Rio de Janeiro, the beaches of Ipanema, Copacabana, Leblon and Flamengo are among the most enjoyable ones and in this huge city you will also find lots of honeymoon destinations to visit such as beautiful mountain sights, museums and historical buildings, parks and football stadiums, being the Maracana one of the biggest in the world.
However, Brazil is so huge that you should also visit another places other than Rio de Janeiro and get in real contact with Brazilian culture, which is mostly original in smaller towns and cities. As for this, Belem, Recife, Maceió and Belo Horizonte are great places to visit together, while Manaus is said to be the best place to tour the Amazonas forest.
Finally, we can not forget about Brazilian nightlife and touristic culture. In this sense, the major cities and the touristic ones, especially Rio de Janeiro or Porto Alegre, offer their visitors a wide variety of events, parties, discos, bars and restaurants. Once in Brazil you can not miss the feijoada (a dish made with black beans and pork), seafood and Brazilian delicious pastry.
Brazil is definitely a good choice for a romantic honeymoone.
